My name is Aaron Yang, and welcome to my blog.
Who am I?
I was born in Urumqi, the capital city of the most northwestern province of China. I moved to Shanghai in September 2012 for college. Majored in automotive engineering, I had a great time playing basketball, playing video games, cycling in Tongji University. From 2017, I started working as an account manager in an automotive seating supplier called Adient in Shanghai. Then in 2020, I worked as a senior account manager for APTIV, which is also an global automotive electronic components supplier. In march 2021, I came to a small Chinese lidar (light detection and ranging) supplier and worked as a sales manager until present.
But after 5 years of work, I gradually noticed ONE big trend, that is software-defined vehicle, which means cars are more and more like cellphones, the software will become the most important impact for user experience. And also I realized that I am actually more interested in a kind of work that requires strong logic and mathematics and I am willing to be in a quiet place working on a hard question or working on some detailed design. So even though I have been 29 years old, I determined to learn coding from ZERO by taking Havard CS50 online courses, which is the best course I have ever had. I hope this will improve my skills and help me start a new career.
Why do I create this website?
01 To improve my English writing skills
Basicly, there is countless free resouce of English on the internet but most of them are one-way inputs, I want to find a way to practice output.
02 To help develop small ideas that might be interesting or helpful
I think writing is a great way to help organize one's thoughts. So if I have some small inspiration in my life, I can write it down and maybe I can turn that little inspiration into something interesting or helpful.
03 To improve my professional life
I want to document the growth of my coding skills. Maybe some learning notes, learning experiences, the mistakes I learn from, tools that are useful, projects, etc. I hope it will be helpful for someone who also wants to learn coding.
04 To make connections
One princeple for my writing will be: it has to be helpful for at least one person in the world. If you find my content interesting or helpful, please share it with your friends. If you have anything questions or ideas, please contact me freely.
05 To get more opportunities and impact the world positively
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair." Charles Dickens
By creating this website, I hope to make myself a better man, and to bring a little positive impact to someone in the other corner of the world.
